LOG CABIN - 2018 Red Wine - Napa Valley

Log Cabin is part of The Founding Collection which pays homage to the locations, symbols and events associated with the founding of Phi Gamma Delta. In 1795 John McMillan founded a classical school in this tiny log cabin, later to send his students to the newly chartered Jefferson College in nearby Canonsburg. McMillan’s old “log college” – the foundation of Jefferson College – was frequently visited by the men who would found Phi Gamma Delta, evidenced by McCarty’s and Fletcher’s names etched on the doorstep.

This proprietary red blend exhibits dark blackberry, bing cherry, and plum notes perfectly into layers of coffee and tobacco. The finish is dry with long-lasting berry fruit. Silky but firm tannins, this wine is enjoyable now but has the ability to age well in the cellar.
